Cherry Hill (N.J.) Camden Catholic junior quarterback Joseph Brennan picked up an offer from Rutgers earlier in the recruiting process and several other schools have expressed a lot of interest since.
UConn is one of those schools, and the 6-foot-4, 178-pound pro-style quarterback from the Garden State recently took a trip to see what the Huskies have to offer.
"I just recently went to a junior day at UConn," Brennan said. "That was last weekend. It went well. I got to see the program and the athletic facilities. I like what they're trying to do with their program. I met the coaches and that was good, too."
That certainly won't be the last trip of the spring for Brennan. He said he plans on attending more junior days. He will be at Maryland at some point but does not know when.
Are any schools other than Rutgers close to extending offers?
"Well, I'm heading to Stanford in June. They're saying that if I do what I normally do I should be heading home with an offer."
Rutgers has been keeping tabs on Brennan since extending an offer a while back.
"I've been talking to the New Jersey recruiter for Rutgers and coach Schiano. They're just letting me know they want me."
