QB Barnes pulls the trigger

Homewood-Floosmoor quarterback prospect Freddie Barnes (6-foot-2, 190 pounds) has given Bowling Green State University his verbal commitment.
"Freddie made his verbal commitment to Bowling Green State on Sunday," Clarissa Charles, Freddie Barnes mother said. "We made an official visit to Bowling Green last weekend, and after meeting with the coaches on Sunday we were able to talk and Freddie decided that he wanted to become a Falcon."
"Freddie had a very good visit at Bowling Green. Some of the factors why he committed were that he was really impressed with the coaches as well as the fact the Bowling Green is a very established program. Freddie also liked the fact that they offered his major, plus the official visit really gave both of us a good feeling about the players and the coaches. We both felt at home at Bowling Green, and I feel very comfortable with Freddie's decision. You can just sense that the team unity is for real at Bowling Green."
