QB at the top of one schools recruiting board

Milton (Fla.) dual-threat quarterback Bruce Hall is one of the top prospects from the Pensacola area this year and the 6-foot, 185 pound athlete heard from one school on Sunday, the first day colleges could begin making phone calls again to recruits.

"I got a call from South Florida tonight," Hall said. "They told me I was number one on their recruiting charts at quarterback. They've already offered. USF told me they run a similar offense to what we run (at Milton) and that I'd be a very good fit."
Along with South Florida, Bruce Hall also has scholarship offers from Kentucky, Wake Forest, and Navy. He declined to list any favorites at this time.
"I'm pretty much wide open," Hall said.
He doesn't have any official visits scheduled but he's thinking about taking unofficial ones first maybe to some games. Hall said he'd probably attend one of USF's game in the next few weeks. For now, Bruce Hall is focused on his senior season at Milton.
"We played Choctaw this past Thursday," he said. "Varsity played a half and we won 14-7. This week we play Washington High School out of Pensacola. They've got a running back that's pretty good, Michael Smith."
