"I like Michigan State's offense. It's wide open with coach Smith."
How are things going your senior season?
"We are 1-0. I've caught two passes and scored once."
Have you gone to any of the Spartans games this season?
"I haven't gone to any games yet. But my official visit will be Nov. 22 when they play Penn State."
Are other schools still calling you?
"I've got a lot of schools calling. But I'm not really interested. I'm pretty solid with my commitment."
Have you talked with the Michigan State coaches about playing as a true freshman?
"Yes. They said I would play my freshman year. They're not real deep at tight end."
The 6-foot-5 and 235 pound McGovern, from Princeton (N.J.) The Hun School, caught 35 passes and scored once during his junior season. He is the Rivals.com number 21 tight end prospect and has a three star rating.
