Purdue, Utah now on RBs list

Pearland, Texas, running back Brandon Roberson, who is 5-foot-9 and 185 pounds, finished as the No. 8 leading rusher in Texas Class 5A history. When his season ended in the Texas state playoffs, he finished with 5,233 yards and 65 touchdowns.
After racking up 1,676 yards and 19 touchdowns as a senior, the attention from the college coaches has really started to heat up.

“There are a couple of new ones that are showing me interest now that I’m done,” Roberson, a two-star prospects, said. “Louisiana Tech came through, Rice came through, Utah is calling me now and Purdue is starting to get involved.”
Roberson has lined up his first visit for Utah on January 16. He’ll also likely visit La Tech, Rice, Purdue and Northwestern. All but Rice and Purdue have offered him a scholarship. He’s also already received visits from coaches at Purdue, Utah and Northwestern at his school.
“Utah was just telling me about how the visit would go when I check them out,” he said. “Purdue was telling me about how they’ve not signed any running backs and a few of their other targets have fallen through and now they’re looking at me as one of their other options.”
But Roberson said he’s not in any kind of a rush.
“If it’s time for me to commit, then I will,” he said. “But I’m not going to pressure myself to make this decision until I’m ready.”
