Purdue looking good for Florida DB

Ricardo Allen is a three-star cornerback prospect from Daytona Beach Mainland High School. Two weeks ago he made his first official visit with two of his teammates. He came home very impressed with what he say at Purdue.
"I really liked it a lot up there at Purdue," Allen said. "They are in the lead with me over everyone. I went to O.J. (Ross) and Chevin (Davis). I think I can go in there at Purdue and play as a true freshman.
"I also feel like the coaches are real to me and they have been straight up. I saw them beat Ohio State and that really surprised me. They are a young team, they have Robert Marve and I like that they have a lot of players from Florida. Plus, they are after my teammates. We would love to play together but we'll see if that all works out."

Does Allen have any other visits or teams in mind at this time?
"I want to visit Illinois and South Carolina. I have not set up anything yet and I am also keeping things open for some others but those three are in the lead for me."
Mainland is off to a 5-2 start. Allen likes how his team is playing.
"We are on a good little streak right now and putting things together. We are finally playing as a team and everyone is together. I am playing safety this season. My team needed me. I love playing strong safety because I love hitting."
Allen has 53 tackles, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and two interceptions this season. They play Deltona this weekend.
