Punter emerging from Florida

A punter to keep an eye on this coming season is Pete Kontodiakos from Clearwater (Fla.) Countryside High School. Kontodiakos, 6-3 and 185 pounds, averaged 39 per punt last season. He camped at Ray Guy's punting camp this summer and did very well. He also camped at LSU, North Carolina and Wake Forest.
"I was told he was the No. 1 punter at Ray Guy's camp and I can tell you Pete's the best one I have ever had," Countryside head coach John Davis said. "He has great hang time. I mean it hangs there forever. Pete just needs to be more consistent in turning the ball over."
According to coach Davis Colorado State came by Countryside last week while Purdue is expected this week. In addition, LSU, UNC and Wake Forest are showing a lot of interest.
