Pulsipher discusses his commitment

Adam Pulsipher considered not even attending BYU's camp because the Cougars already had some linebackers committed, he didn't have an offer yet and he was told by the coaching staff that their 2011 class would be a smaller one.
Pulsipher is happy he took the risk.

The Temecula (Calif.) Temecula Valley linebacker not only did well at BYU's camp, he won the linebacker MVP at the Provo NIKE Camp last week and then picked up an offer from the staff before leaving. Days later, he decided to commit.
"We had almost switched the flight plan to go to Boise State but after they said if I killed it they'd offer I decided to stick with it and go up there," Pulsipher said.
"I was (at BYU) for the junior day the week before but they had offered another kid and had linebacker commits already and for a (smaller) class I wasn't expecting it. They reassured me over e-mail that if I did well there would be a chance.
"I went to San Jose State (Friday) and when I got home the next day I talked with my family and we decided to cancel all the camps and commit to BYU."
Pulsipher is a 6-foot-1, 210-pound inside linebacker who can run and isn't afraid to come up and hit, either.
Buffalo was his first offer and then New Mexico State and Yale, where his brother plays, also offered but BYU had always been one of his favorites. When BYU offered it was too difficult to pass up.
"It felt like the perfect fit for me," Pulsipher said. "The caliber of football, the facilities there, the coaching staff, the social part of it, everything was perfect and there was nothing to complain about.
"That had been a dream school. I didn't think it was going to work out because of the way their class is set this year. They might take only 13 guys and they had been upfront with me and said it was going to be tough but if I killed it at camp they would offer."
