PSU offers R100 DB Lewis

As Marcus Lewis predicted, Penn State was the next to offer him. The Rivals100 defensive back from Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga has more than 20 offers right now but the Nittany Lions look to be a serious contender.
"I like Penn State a lot," said the 6-foot-1, 180-pound Lewis. "They have a great tradition and coach Franklin is a really good coach. He's trying to build on what coach O'Brien did. They're trying to win some games in the Big Ten and compete for conference and national championships. I definitely like them."

Lewis and some of the Penn State coaches have started for form a strong relationship.
"I've been talking to coach Shoop. I like him a lot," he said. "He came from Vanderbilt with coach Franklin. He said that in the past three years Vanderbilt was in the top three in passing defense with Alabama and Florida. They play and in your face type of defense so I like that."
Lewis is no stranger to Happy Valley.
"I visited for the Nebraska game last year," Lewis said. "I like it a lot. It was snowing but I liked the atmosphere and how there are 107,000 fans every game. I liked their spirit. The campus was cool and I like the way it was set up."
Lewis, who said Ohio State, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Michigan State, Maryland and a lot of others are recruiting him hard, has a number of visits coming up.
"I'm going to Ohio State next weekend," he said. "I leave on Friday after school. We're also going to Florida, Florida State and Miami during my break starting on March 17. Will be at the Maryland game against Syracuse Monday night."
Lewis think Georgia will be the next to offer.
