PSU lands three-star WR Polk

Penn State continued their torrid pace on the recruiting trail on Tuesday with the commitment of Brandon Polk. The wide receiver from Ashburn (Va.) Briar Woods committed during a visit to Penn State.
"I felt like it was the best fit for me," said the 5-foot-9, 150-pound Polk. "I wasn't sure if I'd commit today. I was thinking about it but it just felt like the place to be."

The academics at Penn State really helped Polk decide he wanted to be a Nittany Lion.
"I got here and I wasn't sure about what I was going to major in at college," he said. "They showed me their communications school and I met with the professors. I met with some professors in material science. I got a lot of information and I just loved it.
"I saw a lot of the academics," Polk said. "They really harped on that. It wasn't like the other schools that show you mostly football stuff. I saw the whole campus and everything I wanted to see."
James Franklin and his staff have quickly gained a reputation for being a charismatic and engaging group.
"I love the coaches here," he said. "It's a great group. They have so much energy and they bring that to the team too. They don't just show it in the games. It's in practice and talking to them. They love what they are doing. "
Polk is the ninth commitment for Penn State's 2015 class and the second wide receiver.
