PSU adds fifth OL

The Penn State Nittany Lions are filling their 2004 recruiting class quickly and recently added their fifth offensive lineman.
"Rich committed to PSU on Saturday," said East Meadow, N.Y. head coach Tony Mascia of 6-foot-3, 275-pound offensive guard/center Rich Ohrnberger. "He got the offer on Wednesday and knew it was getting down to crunch time with PSU. They said they wanted to fill five offensive line slots this year, they had four commitments and a bunch of offers out there.

"He jumped at the chance."
Ohrnberger also had offers from West Virginia, Syracuse, Purdue and Duke but favored Penn State for awhile.
"It's a great school for offensive linemen, especially guys like Rich who are great run blockers," said Mascia. "He's going to play either center or guard there and I know he's very excited. He had some unofficial trips set up for the next few weeks, but those are off."
Ohrnberger was named all-county as a junior. He joins Wyatt Bowman, Greg Harrison, Austin Hinton and Trent Varva as offensive line commitments this year for the Nittany Lions.
