Psalms sees changes at Cal

Malik Psalms has been to Cal plenty of times but it was still good for the four-star commit to head to Berkeley this past weekend to see the Stanford game.
The Golden Bears didn't win but it was a great experience for Psalms, who said his pledge remains solid and he cannot wait to join the team.

"It was really cool," Psalms said. "I've been up there a million times so just to see a football game was really great. It was a tough game but it was good to see a battle back-and-forth."
Psalms has been committed since April, only a few months after Cal went 1-11, but the Chino Hills (Calif.) Ayala four-star cornerback has seen incredible changes in the team since last season and he's happy about it.
After talking to the coaching staff, his thoughts were only reinforced and it makes Psalms pleased to see the changes coming together.
"It's been great to see them competing and actually caring more than they did last year," Psalms said.
"I talked to coach (Rob) Likens and he said he could see really big improvements just in how much the guys care. Even though they lost, how much they care about the team and how much they care about each other.
"That's great to see and it's a great atmosphere to walk into when I get there."
The 6-foot-1, 174-pound prospect said some programs are still recruiting him and working on him to take an official visit but he doesn't seem all that interested. With Cal turning a corner from last season, Psalms said his commitment remains firm.
"There are still a couple schools that are making a push here and there and a couple schools still want me to take a visit but right now I'm 100 percent Cal," Psalms said.
