Prospect postpones PSU trip

Rodney Kinlaw was set to begin his official visit tour over the weekend with a trip to Penn State. Unfortunately for the Nittany Lions, the weather caused the trip to be postponed.
"We decided that it was safest to probably wait a while before we head up there," said the 5-foot-10, 177-pound running back. "There was some bad weather up there and we didn't want to risk an accident when we can go back some other time. There was supposed to be a lot of ice in some areas that we might be driving through."

Despite the setback, Kinlaw will be taking his trip to Happy Valley eventually.
"I'm going to reschedule the Penn State trip, because I definitely want to check the place out. They can offer a running back a lot after Larry Johnson has had such a great season. I don't want Penn State's coaches or fans to get worried, because I'm definitely going to take a trip there."
Kinlaw is one of the premier athletes in the nation and has listed Penn State as one of his favorite schools for quite a while. He is the nephew of Courtney Brown, a former All-American at Penn State.
"This coming week I'm going to start getting ready for the Shrine Bowl," said Kinlaw. "It's a big game for North Carolina and South Carolina high school players. We (South Carolina) feel like we should beat them again."
Kinlaw has official visits scheduled to Clemson (Jan. 10), NC State (Jan. 17) and Virginia Tech (Jan. 24).
"I want to set up a trip to South Carolina before it's over too. I won't be able to visit Penn State or South Carolina January because of the Shrine Bowl and all, but I'm going to fit those two in. The five schools I'm taking official visits to are probably the schools I'll make my final decision from. The decision will probably be near signing day because my visits are so late."
