Productive WR Puts Up Numbers

The accomplishments by wide receiver Gary Domanski of Somerville High School (Somerville, N.J.) are a high school player’s dream. Domanski was named first team All-State and All-Groups as a wide receiver and has become known as one of the most productive players in New Jersey. Last season he had 56 catches for 1,127 yards with 17 touchdowns. He ran a 4.43-second 40-yard dash at the Temple camp this summer and also has a 35-inch vertical jump.
Domanski also runs track for his high school and for the past two years he was a first team All-State Group II selection in the 100-meter event, running a 10.7-second time. He won the state sectional the past two years in a row in the 100-meter, clocked again at 10.7 seconds. If that's not enough he also has a long jump of 22.9 feet.

At this time Gary is receiving attention from Rutgers, Temple, Army, Navy, Iowa and Northwestern as well as a few others. While speaking to his father, Gary Sr., he told us that most schools are waiting until the start of the new season before they offer. They want to follow his progress.
Gary is 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds -- plenty big enough to play as a wide receiver at the Division One level. One thing that could be keeping some schools away is that last year he played at only 155 pounds. Since then he has added weight and muscle. That, along with his speed and great hands should bring a few offers soon enough.
