Process picking up steam for Brock

College Station (Texas) 2017 Rivals250 quarterback Ty Brock is just beginning to see the recruiting process pick up steam.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound standout camped at TCU, Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M, and Houston this summer, and he feels good about the current status of the recruiting process.

"Well, I definitely think I accomplished what I set out to do this summer," Brock said. "I got myself an offer from UH, and that really is a weight lifted off my shoulders. It is really reassuring that I have that offer."
In addition to his Houston offer, Brock also grabbed an offer from McNeese State, and he has received positive feedback from coaches at TCU, Baylor, Texas, and Texas A&M.
"A lot of good comments and good reviews, but most of them just said they want to see film from this season," Brock said.
Houston has made a strong early impression. The early offer definitely caught his attention, but it is more than that for Brock.
"I really enjoyed the camp there," Brock said. "A lot of the drills and work we did was competition based and a lot of offense vs. defense stuff. Then the coaching staff, I really liked them. Coach Herman and coach Applewhite, I really like those guys."
Coach Tom Herman and coach Major Applewhite are not the only ones who have started building relationships with Brock.
"Several of the schools in Texas - Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor - I got to talk to coaches there and I really like the coaches there," Brock said.
Brock is currently ranked No. 188 in the Rivals250, No. 28 in the Rivals.com Texas Initial Top 80 for 2017, and No. 11 among the nation's 2017 pro-style quarterbacks.
As a sophomore in 2014, Brock completed 32 of 47 passes for 528 yards, eight touchdowns, and only two interceptions.
