Prince has change of heart

Encino (Calif.) Crespi quarterback Kevin Prince committed during the season to Washington and that appeared to end his recruitment. However, UCLA, Prince's childhood favorite made a late run and the talented signal caller has decided to sign with the Bruins.
Prince, 6-2, 185 pounds was one of the top quarterbacks we saw last summer. With a loaded roster at Crespi, big things were expected from Prince this past season but he tore his ACL in week one and missed his entire season.

Prince committed to the Huskies after receiving marginal interest from UCLA but things changed in the last few weeks.
"Kevin's interest really perked up when he heard Rick Neuheisel was the new head coach," Prince's father said. "Then once Norm Chow became the new OC, Kevin really was interested. They visited Kevin at school and liked his film and invited him back to campus.
"Kevin went down there and really liked it. UCLA was his dream school and once he evaluated everything, he decided UCLA was the place for him. He's actually out right now buying some UCLA gear because at Crespi tomorrow, there having a little Signing Day party and he wanted to get some Bruin gear."
As for when Prince will enroll at UCLA, that has yet to be decided.
"Kevin still doesn't know that," Mr. Prince said. "I just asked him the other day what he was going to do and he said he's still figuring that out. He'll either grey shirt and come in with the class of 2009 or he'll take his mission (Mormon) and enroll as part of the class of 2010.
"Coach Neuheisel has been great about it and said it's totally up to Kevin. He told Kevin to take his time and they'll support him whatever he decides to do."
