Prince getting closer

The last time we spoke with Encino (Calif.) Crespi quarterback Kevin Prince, about a month ago, he had just returned home from an official visit from Washington. Prince said at the time that he was still torn between the Huskies and UCLA but one school has definitely emerged as the clear front runner right now.
Prince, 6-2, 185 pounds emerged this summer as one of the hottest quarterbacks in the West region. He was poised for a big senior season but tore his ACL in week one of the season.

The signal caller narrowed his choices to Washington and UCLA and it appears Prince is on the verge of a decision.
"I'm leaning pretty big to Washington right now," Prince said. "I haven't made an official commitment yet but I'm getting close. I still haven't figured out what I want to do in terms of when I take my mission (Mormon) but as soon as I do, that's when I'll make a commitment.
"With Washington, the thing that kind of pushes them ahead of UCLA is just how hard they have recruited me. They have really made me feel like a priority and I never really got that from UCLA. I loved my visit there and just felt so comfortable with the coaches, players and the area.
"I was kind of on a high after the visit but assumed it would wear off but it really hasn't. I'm still as excited about Washington right now as I was after the visit. I like Coach Willingham a lot and just believe that Washington is the best fit for me right now.
"As for my mission, I'm trying to decide if I want to greyshirt out of high school or go to Washington and then leave for my mission after one year. Right now I'm leaning to the greyshirt. That would enable me to take a year to rehab my knee some more, do my mission and then enroll at Washington in 2010 with all my eligibility. When I commit, I want to be able to tell the coaches exactly what I'm doing so then know how to play, that's why I haven't committed yet but like I said, as soon as I get that worked out, I'll go ahead and my decision official."
