Prime 21: Top defensive performers

Recruiting wrap: Okudh has taken several visits this offseason and plans to tour Florida State, Georgia and Auburn in the near future.
Performance: Okudah has impressive size (6-1, 194) and surprising speed to go along with it. He used his long arms to break up a few passes that looked like sure completions. Okudah was probably the most well-rounded defensive back prospect at the camp. He may play safety in college because of his size, but he certainly has the tools to play man coverage.

CB
Darnay Holmes (2017)
Newbury Park, (Calif.) Newbury Park
Recruiting wrap: Holmes names no favorites in the process but seems interested in UCLA, Stanford and Ohio State.
Performance: Holmes brings serious physicality to the table and showed it by jamming a number of wide receivers at the line. He paid for his aggressive approach on rare occasions, but won most of the reps he took. Holmes has great quickness that complements his size (5-11, 185). He also is solid when it comes to covering downfield.

CB
Shaun Wade (2017)
Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian
Recruiting Wrap: Wade is committed to Ohio State.
Performance: It's been a summer of big performances from the Ohio State commit and Saturday's event was no exception. The 6-foot-2, 174-pound prospect came straight from the airport to the field on Saturday morning and stepped in and immediately started locking down receivers. Wade's physicality at the line is always impressive, but it's his ability to cover at his size (6-2, 179) that makes him a special prospect.
5
CB
Tre Brown (2017)
Tulsa (Okla.) Union
Recruiting wrap: Brown holds offers from Arkansas State, Tulsa, and Louisville, and TCU and Oklahoma continue to show interest. He plans to attend camp at TCU this week.
Performance: Brown has had several impressive camp performances this summer and he continued that trend in Dallas. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound cornerback was constantly in the hip pocket of receivers. He is strong enough to handle physical play of bigger receivers and his burst out of the break allowed him to jump routes and break-up several passes.
6
CB
Chevin Calloway (2017)
Dallas (Texas) Bishop Dunne
Recruiting wrap: Calloway is not in a hurry to make a decision, but Alabama, TCU, and Baylor are standing out early in the recruiting process.
Performance: At 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, Calloway was one of the most physical guys on the field. He was in the face of receiver after receiver and quickly made them alter route and then used quick footwork to stay in position. He was very fluid in transition.
7
CB
Corione Harris (2018)
New Orleans (La.) Landry-Walker
Recruiting wrap: Harris has yet to land his first offer.
Performance: One of the day's most pleasant surprises, Harris is a long cornerback that recovers well and flips his hips fluidly. He broke up a number of passes during the camp's morning session and showed a willingness to sacrifice his body to make a play. Harris' greatest strength is his motor and his physicality. He's likely to land a number of major offers as he continues to develop.

OLB
Baron Browning (2017)
Kennendale, Texas
Recruiting wrap: Browning has offers from several of the nation's top programs and is planning upcoming visits to Baylor, USC, UCLA and Texas.
Performance: The event was meant strictly for cornerbacks and safeties, but that didn't stop the big-bodied Browning from wanting to show what he could do as a defensive back. There's no way the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Browning doesn't end up at linebacker in the future, but he showed on Saturday that even against elite wide receivers, he's up to the task of covering in space. Browning's combination of size and athleticism is unique and he already performs like a player beyond his years.
9
S
Donovan Stiner (2017)
Bellaire, Texas
Recruiting wrap: Stiner has picked up early offers from Baylor and SMU.
Performance: Stiner brings plenty of size to the defensive backfield, but he showed he was more than capable of handling the quickness of a talented receiver group. His footwork was clean and he was smooth in transition. He also did a good job of turning to find the ball and using his length to extend and make a play.
10
CB
Michael Lee (2017)
New Orleans (La.) Landry-Walker
Recruiting wrap: Lee currently holds an offer from Texas Tech.
Performance: Lee has a stout build (5-10, 162) and he likes to get physical with his opponent at the line. His quick feet allow him to start and stop with the best of them. He is smooth in transition with excellent burst out of his break. He stays low and he is able to elevate in jump ball situations to make plays against bigger competition.
