Priest picks up first offer

The No. 30 player in Virginia picked up his first offer of the season. Roanoke (Va.) William Fleming cornerback Dwayne Priest picked up the offer from in-state school James Madison.
"I went up there for a camp and they offered me a scholarship," he said. "It's a good school and I like their program. It wouldn't be a bad choice if I decided to go there."

Meanwhile, the 5-foot-8, 173-pounder has been receiving mail from many of the same schools including Virginia, Virginia Tech, Clemson and Tennessee, although one new school has mentioned a possible offer.
"South Carolina has talked about it and I think they might," he said. "I've been talking to the coaches and they really like me and how I play. It's not a bad school there and Steve Spurrier is going to help them out a lot."
The cornerback prospect hasn't started considering official visits.
"I haven't sat down and thought about them at all," he said. "It depends if I get a good offer then I may just jump at it. I'll probably take most of my visits though during and after the season."
Priest is preparing to kick off the season on August 26th.
"I'm looking for a state championship this year," he said. "I haven't gotten that yet and I just want to win it. I've just got to keep playing hard and do what I've been doing including work on my leadership more. I think our team is coming along really well and they're working hard."
Priest racked up over 1,100 yards of offense and 14 touchdowns. He also recorded 98 tackles and four interceptions as he went on to be named all-district and second team all-state.
