Prep school DB sticks with pledge

Cincinnati (Ohio) Harmony Prep two-star safety Eric McLaughlin was originally committed to Central Michigan, but when Central's coaching staff moved to Cincinnati, he had to re-think his commitment.
And after thinking, he decided that going back to his original home state and playing for Central was the right move for him.

"I'm still committed to Central," McLaughlin, who is 6-foot and 200 pounds, said. "I talked to the new coaches and they said they saw my film and they really liked me. I was hoping to get a chance to go back up to Michigan since I'm from Grand Rapids, so I was excited they still wanted me."
McLaughlin said a few other schools like Illinois and Michigan State showed him some interest, but he decided after a Dec. 3 official visit with Central that he had no further reason to look around.
"It's the best place for me," he said.
