Prater prepares for unofficial visit

Omaha (Neb.) Central tight end Nate Prater is preparing for an unofficial visit this weekend while his team continues into the fourth week of the season.
“I am going to go to the Kansas game this weekend when they play Texas Tech,” the 6-foot-4, 250-pound Prater said. “They’ve been recruiting me very hard. They’ve called all they can and I get a lot of mail from them. They are making it known to me that they want me to play for them.”

The Jayhawks aren’t the only team in pursuit of the three-star rated Prater.
“Michigan, Kansas, Kansas State and Iowa State have offered me a scholarship,” he said. “I have interest in all of them. I also like Oklahoma, Notre Dame and Nebraska. The Huskers haven’t been recruiting me too hard, but they have done some.”
Prater has yet to line up any official visits.
“I’m going to wait until our season is done before I take any visits,” he said. “I’ll probably try and work out the dates with some of the coaches before long, though. I’m looking at visiting Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Oklahoma and Michigan.”
Through the team’s first three games, Prater has eight receptions for 115 yards and one touchdown.
