Pozderac holds strong at one

Carrollton (Texas) Newman Smith offensive tackle Nic Pozderac picked up his first scholarship not too long ago from Houston. Now, he's just waiting on that second to come along.
The 6-foot-4, 280-pounder also took a trip sometime ago to Notre Dame, where his father Phil Pozderac played. Though he left with an offer, Pozderac is confident that his next offer should be making it's way to him soon enough.

"I got a bunch of calls at the end of May and it seems like a lot more schools got my tape," Pozderac said. "Three or four just wanted to see some more before they offered. I'm kind of right on that stage before the next one."
Michigan, Arkansas, and UTEP are the schools that have been showing Pozderac the most interest as of late. The Irish lead, but the contact between the two has been less frequent the last few weeks.
"I need to get back in touch with them," Pozderac said. "The visit was a lot of fun. I got to meet Charlie Weis and they were excited to see me. They said they were going to come down a few weeks ago to my spring practice to check me out."
Pozderac says that his senior season will help push interest from colleges even higher.
"I still feel I need a strong senior year," he said. "So, I'm going to put it off until then and make my decision later. I want to see how things go and then decide from there."
