Powell listening to several schools

Garland (Texas) Lakeview Centennial cornerback Corrigan Powell is getting rising interest and staying in contact with several schools.
The 5-foot-10, 165-pounder had quite the junior season. Powell ushered in 92 tackles, eight pass breakups, two sacks, two fumble recoveries, and five tackles for loss. The North Texas prospect says that a few schools have talked about visits.

"I just got off the phone with a Kansas coach and he was just talking about the spring game," Powell said. "They just said they want more tape on me. He liked what he saw and wanted to see more tape to see if they can get me an offer."
Powell says that he's also been text messaging back and forth with other schools such as Stanford and Colorado State. He also plans on heading to some camps this summer.
"I think I'm going to go to Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, and if I can make it, I'm going to try and go to Florida," Powell said. "My top five right now is Florida, Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M."
Powell says he's going to try to make the Kansas spring game.
"Yeah, I want to, I just need to talk to my mom about going up for that," he said.
