Powell eyes Pac-12 program

Kameron Powell has seen his recruitment get much busier recently and the Upland, Calif., standout said he's hopeful more offers could be coming his way.
Powell had an impressive performance at the Pylon Sports 7on7 in Las Vegas last weekend and he said it could only be a matter of time until his recruitment picks up even more.

"I'm hearing from a lot of new schools," Powell said. "The interest is really starting to pick up. I just got done with my SAT on Saturday, I'm getting the grades right and I'm just moving forward."
The 5-foot-11, 192-pound three-star defensive back said Michigan State is showing the most new interest but many other programs have reached out as well.
So far, Powell lists offers from Colorado, Colorado State, Oregon State, Washington and Washington State.
The Upland standout said Washington State stands out the most early on but he's nowhere near making a decision especially with so much new interest coming in.
Powell said he loves how the Cougars are recruiting him and that Washington State's coaches have been really aggressive coming after him.
"I like Washington State a lot but I don't have a favorite," Powell said.
"The connection I have with the coaches really stands out. I like the way I fit in their program. They send stuff every day. Almost every hour it seems like so the recruiting is going pretty good."
Rivals.com rates Powell as the No. 22 safety in the 2015 class and No. 43 in the California state rankings.
