Pounds to commit in October

Quinten Pounds just took his first official visit to Boise State and he was pleasantly surprised by what he saw on his trip.
The Broncos are one of four favorites for the three-star athlete from Cypress, Calif., but other trips could be just as important in the coming months. He'll take some Pac-12 visits and then Pounds should be ready to make his decision.

"It went really good," Pounds said of Boise State. "It was a lot better than I thought it was going to be when I was just thinking about taking the trip.
"I didn't think there was that much up there but when I went out there it was really good. Boise State was in the middle of the city.
"It was pretty awesome. Everywhere I went there was someone with Boise State stuff on, representing the school. It was a great atmosphere, a great place to be, everything was nice."
Boise State, Washington, Colorado and now Cal are the four frontrunners for Pounds, who plans to visit Washington this weekend when the Huskies host Georgia State and then he has a trip planned to Colorado in early October.
No visit has been worked out with Cal and Pounds said he is still undecided whether he'll take an official trip to Berkeley.
In the short term, the three-star is most focused on his trips to Washington and Colorado and then making his decision on October 29.
"I'm going to Washington next weekend," Pounds said.
"I can't wait to be up there and Colorado, too. I can't wait to go visit and see how it is. I haven't been to Washington yet so it will be cool to see how the city is and how everything around there is. I'm excited about those trips."
