Pounds lists three favorites

Official visits will be important for Quinten Pounds and then the three-star athlete should be ready to make his commitment in the next few months.
Three programs definitely stand out most to the Cypress, Calif., prospect and visits to those schools will definitely happen soon. Others could be scheduled as well but Pounds wants to focus on his frontrunners at this point.

"I'm going to take my official visits once school starts and I can go and take them," Pounds said.
"I know I'm going to take three for sure. I don't know if I'm going to take all five but I probably will. I know I'm going to Washington, Colorado and Boise State. I'm still trying to work out my schedule and see their schedule and figure out when I can go.
"Those would be my three favorites. I think those three are the most interested in me."
Cal, Nevada, Utah and Washington State have also offered the 6-foot-1, 170-pound prospect but those three teams look the best at this point in his recruitment.
No trips are booked yet but Pounds plans to do that soon - especially to his three favorites - and then he should be ready by midseason to make his commitment.
"Colorado was my first offer and they've been there the whole time talking to me," Pounds said. "It hasn't been about football all the time so that's been nice.
"When I went to the Washington camp the coaches treated me really well. I really like the coaches up there a lot.
"I like the coaching staff up at Boise State, too. They would call me and wish me luck before every track meet and I thought that was cool."
