Tulsa (Okla.) Booker T. Washington defensive end Chadd Evans is sticking to his guns.
Rivals100 reported his UCLA commitment last week, and he has re-affirmed that commitment this week.

In fact, Evans has not only committed to UCLA, but has promised to do some recruiting on its behalf.
“I’m sticking to my story,” Evans said. “I’m committed to play football for UCLA next season.”
The most recent Bruin pledge says that even a coaching change might not be enough to deter him. He says he is dedicated to the school that he has never even visited, well, aside from visiting Los Angeles on the occasional AAU tournament or track meet.
“I grew up playing AAU ball, and I’ve been away from home,” the 245 lbs point-forward said. “Mom doesn’t like it, but she’ll come around.
“Really, I’m more committed to the school (than to the coaching staff). The staff has been great, and I think coach Toledo is a great coach. I sure would like to help him turn the program around.”
Evans is ready to help UCLA recruit a number of Tulsa area stars. Five-star wide receiver Robert Meachem stars on Booker T Washington’s state runner up team. He is a childhood friend of Evans.
“That would be one of my major goals now,” Evans said.
“I want to keep our streak going. We’ve played over a hundred straight games together. Ever since third grade we’ve been on the same football team.”
Evans also said he hopes to contact Tulsa Union stars Jared Naylor and Blake Smith, who are scheduled to visit Westwood this weekend if the potential shakeup in LA doesn’t change things.
Evans’ is holding off on his visits for now, but he does plan on taking more than one.
“I want to take some visits. I’m committed to UCLA, but I’m still going to go out to Tennessee in January,” he said. “I’ve been concentrating on my season, so I should know some other visits soon.
“I want UCLA to be my first visit, so I can get used to it. I want to see it as a student athlete.”
Evans is currently scheduled to visit UCLA January 10 and Tennessee January 24. SMU is also in the picture with him, too.
