Portland DB has first offer

Portland is loaded with talent this recruiting season and Jesuit cornerback Raphiel Lambert is a big reason why.
The 5-foot-8, 175-pound playmaker will be one of the hundreds of players attending the Rivals.com Junior Day on Saturday in Bothell, Wash., and he's excited about learning more about the recruiting process.

"It's going to be a great event for a highly recruited player like me," Lambert said. "I really want to learn more about what's going to happen."
Lambert is already on the recruiting radar for many schools.
He picked up his first scholarship offer right after Feb. 7 when Montana let him know that he's got an offer.
"Right after signing day, the coach texted me and wanted me to call him," Lambert said. "So I did, and he said I had a scholarship from them. It's really exciting to get that first offer."
Lambert said other schools are showing him a lot of attention too.
"I'm talking to Boise State, UDub, Colorado and Washington State a lot," he said. "I'm going to see what other schools are most interested in me and then we'll see what happens."
As a junior, Lambert racked up over 700 yards of rushing, averaging more than 10 yards a carry and got it into the end zone 13 times. However, many schools also like him on the defensive side of the ball.
