Pollard sets his first official visit

Four-star defensive tackle Jamil Pollard of Westville (N.J.) West Deptford has had a roller coaster ride of a recruiting process during the last few months. But now with his senior season complete, everything finally seems to be coming together.
"I'm visiting Boston College this week for an official," said Pollard. "I just want to see the campus and see if they have the great program that they talk about."

Penn State has been in and out of the picture with Pollard for months, but now they seem to be officially in once again.
"The head coach and Coach Vanderlinden came to my school on Thursday," said Pollard. "I talked to them for awhile and they offered me. They're sending me papers with the offer, so it's confirmed."
With everything that has been swirling around Penn State recently, Pollard gave his thoughts on the current situation.
"Penn State is still a good school," said Pollard. "Coach Larry Johnson is still there and the rest of the coaching staff is still there for now except for Coach Paterno. Overall it's still a good school."
Aside from Boston College and Penn State, a few other schools are also still in the picture.
"Temple is in and out and Rutgers is there," said Pollard. "Rutgers wants to see my grades and to keep working hard throughout the school year. They just got my transcripts. Nebraska came by and talked to me for a little bit too."
Pollard does not have any other visits set up at this time aside from Boston College. He is hoping to make a final decision on December 30th, when he plays in the annual Offense-Defense Bowl in Dallas, Texas.
