Polamalu will attend several camps

Maika Polamalu is one of Pennsylvania's top safety prospects from the Class of 2011 and several schools have extended scholarship offers.
That said, Polamalu is hoping for more. He knows that in order for that to happen he will have to hit the camp circuit with a full head of steam and perform well in order to convince coaches that he's worthy of moving up their recruiting board.

The 5-foot-11, 191-pound safety from Pottsgrove, Pa. has drawn offers from Navy, Temple and Villanova, as well as a verbal offer from Penn State.
"Most of the summer is still falling into place," Polamalu explained. "I'm going to a 7-on-7 and a workout down at South Carolina in two weeks but I'm also planning on going to Pitt, Michigan and I'm trying to make it out to UCLA."
Polamalu said he will be going to those schools for camps as opposed to just unofficial visits.
"A lot of schools including those are showing high interest but want to see me play safety instead of defensive end or linebacker line I do on film."
The rising senior defensive back said he does not currently have any favorites but is hoping to make a decision over the summer nonetheless.
What will he be looking for in a school?
"A major factor is academic standards and opportunities following college in the job world," he said. "Another will be the opportunity to play early."
