Pokes lead for Texas ATH

Sugar Land (Texas) Austin athlete Michael Jones continues to like his one of his in-state schools, but there doesn’t appear to be any room for him in their recruiting class.
“Texas is still one of my top schools,” the 6-foot-3, 190-pound Jones said. “But, they haven’t offered me a scholarship. They are low on scholarships for this recruiting class, so I don't know if they’ll be offering me or not. If they do, I’d take it. But, something will have to change before they will offer me.”
The two-star rated athlete has taken three official visits so far.
“I have visited Oklahoma State, Arizona State and Missouri,” he said. “They were all very good visits. I would say Oklahoma State probably is at the top of the list. Then Arizona State and Missouri. Those three are main ones I am considering.”
Jones played quarterback for most of his senior season, but is being recruited as a receiver and athlete for college.
“I really don’t have a preference,” he said. “Just a chance on the field is all I really want.”
