Poehlmann talks first offer, favorites

One of the top junior offensive tackles in Texas is already on the map with his first scholarship offer and with visits planned, he's looking for more.
Brenham, Texas tackle Luke Poehlmann has picked up his first offer from Texas A&M after attending the Aggies junior day this past weekend. More junior days are upcoming, but A&M definitely impressed the talented 6-foot-5, 260-pounder.

"I actually thought about committing even before I went there," Poehlmann said about his trip to College Station, Texas. "I want to take other visits though. I want to make sure that I'm making the right decision on where I go."
"It was great though. The junior day was really exciting."
Poehlmann has Texas' junior day up next on Feb. 11. Texas and Texas A&M are in his early top five which also includes Oklahoma, LSU, and Nebraska.
"I grew up watching UT, A&M, and OU," Poehlmann said. "LSU has a really good chance of winning a national championship. Nebraska, I just like their tradition and I liked what I saw from a few games this year."
Poehlmann says he's unsure exactly when he'll make a commitment, but he'd definitely like to have it out of the way before his senior year.
He was an all-district selection as a junior.
