Plenty of talent at Bartram Trail

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- Though most of the early headlines have been grabbed by pre-evaluation Rivals100 cornerback Xavier Brewer and Clemson quarterback commit Kyle Parker, there are several other potential Division I-A prospects at Bartram Trail High School for the Class of 2008.
Tight end Andrew Parker may have the most upside of any. The 6-foot-5, 235-pounder has a great frame and solid athleticism. He's still waiting on his first scholarship offer as word is just now getting out about him, but South Florida, Miami (Fla.), Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Clemson and Mississippi State all are schools that have his attention.

Mississippi State already has extended a scholarship offer to wide receiver Charles Bailey. The 6-foot-3, 175-pounder is getting attention from a number of other programs as well.
Defensive back Damon Lawrence had more than 50 tackles and three interceptions last season. The 5-foot-9, 175-pounder is getting looks from Southern Mississippi, LSU, Rutgers, Florida International and Air Force. The Golden Panthers have been sending text messages.
Running back Taylor Johnson had more than 900 rushing yards and year ago and the 5-foot-10, 210-pounder is getting looks from Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina and Air Force. He plans to camp at Notre Dame this summer.
