Plenty of interest for Waller

Travis Waller has had an outstanding off-season with strong performances at the RCS Southern California and the Pylon Sports 7on7 in Las Vegas and now two new offers have arrived.
Penn State and Utah are the latest offers for the Anaheim (Calif.) Servite quarterback and he said there is interest in both programs.

Arizona, BYU, Colorado, Northwestern and Washington have also offered so far.
"I talked to Penn State twice before the (Las Vegas) tournament and they asked me to send them a video of me throwing at school so I sent that to them," Waller said. "They liked it a lot so they offered me that day I sent it to them.
"Utah has been keeping an eye on me for a while since my sophomore year. I guess after the tournament they heard some things and they offered."
Waller, who threw for 12 touchdowns and rushed for 13 scores in his junior season, said playing for the Nittany Lions is definitely a strong possibility. The Servite quarterback said he doesn't know too much about Utah's program but he's going to learn now that the Utes offered.
"I know Penn State has some four-star commits right now and they're looking for a quarterback," Waller said. "They said I could be the guy and I could compete for a spot right away. That's a plus for me. East Coast is no problem so I'm not worried about that.
"As far as Utah goes, one of my friends goes there but I'm not too familiar with the school yet. I'm going to try to develop a relationship with the offensive coordinator."
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound prospect has a good amount of offers but many more could be on the way. Waller said he's receiving interest from Ole Miss, Michigan, Duke, Stanford, Oregon, Arizona State and others. With more attention coming his way, Waller said no leaders have emerged yet.
"I don't have any early favorites right now," Waller said. "I'm definitely going to be taking visits and I'm going to decide from there."
