Plenty of interest for Sidney

One of the top prospects at the B2G 7on7 tournament last weekend was Trevon Sidney, who is equally talented on offense and defense.
That's one of the top qualities of the 2016 athlete from La Puente (Calif.) Bishop Amat but Sidney said he definitely prefers playing receiver over cornerback.

"I prefer offense," Sidney said. "I just love making the big plays in the big moments."
So far, the 5-foot-11, 155-pound prospect has been offered by Miami, UCLA and USC.
The 2016 prospect said Tennessee, Utah and Arizona State are all showing new interest this offseason and every program is considering him for both sides of the ball.
"They're all saying athlete," Sidney said.
It is still really early in Sidney's recruitment. The Bishop Amat standout said he has no favorites or frontrunners at this point and he's hoping to see all the programs involved this upcoming season to see which teams look the best.
"It's still wide open," Sidney said. "I still want to take my visits. I just want to watch this year and then figure it out later."
Sidney proved in his sophomore season that he could be an asset on both sides of the ball.
He finished with eight interceptions and seven touchdowns and was one of the top players at Bishop Amat alongside fellow 2016 receiver Tyler Vaughns and others.
