Pleasant holding onto 22 offers

Kenneth Pleasant

THE LATEST: Katy (Texas) Seven Lakes offensive lineman Kenneth Pleasant doesn't resemble his last name on the football field. In fact, it is very much the exact opposite. Pleasant is under-rated, but that doesn't bother him. He's all about doing the work and the riches will follow.

Pleasant is sitting on 22 offers at the moment, but isn't interested in thinking about official visits. He says that there are many other schools that seem close to offering. It may only take few games into his senior year to put up some current film with a leaner, heavier frame to see how well he is playing to earn additional offers.

IN HIS WORDS: "My summer went very well. I added 12-pounds of muscle. We had traditional strength and conditioning camp every day except Saturdays and Sundays. I had personal workouts on Tuesdays and Thursdays doing one on ones and lifting. My individual work out was mostly pass sets and things.

"Our team is super young this year with only three starters that are seniors, but we're very talented. I think we can surprise a lot of teams because they think just because we're young that we're not good. Our team goals are to make it to December and beat some of the teams we never beaten. My personal goal is to just dominate on the field and the accolades will follow.

"I am up to 22 offers with some of them coming from Missouri, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Houston, Tulsa, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisville, UTSA and others. I haven't set any official visits yet. Right now which schools I visit is still up the air because I think that there are a number of other schools close to offering. I am looking for the campus life and coaching staff when it comes to my decision, but mostly my education."

RIVALS' REACTION: Pleasant is really under the radar. He doesn't just have a double-digit offer total, but he has a total of over 20 offers with some nice Power Five offers like Missouri, Texas Tech and Louisville. According to Pleasant too there are a number of other schools that could be close to offering.

Pleasant is a dominating blocker. At 6-foot-4 and 317-pounds Pleasant moves very well for a man his size. What teams have to like about Pleasant is that he shows versatility up and down the line playing guard or tackle. Additionally, Pleasant is effective as a pass blocker and is a punishing run blocker. It's not a surprise that many more schools could be close to offering.
