Playoffs push visit back for DE

Bakersfield (Calif.) Liberty Union three-star defensive end Matt Akers was originally set to visit Fresno State this upcoming weekend, but according to his father it looks like the visit will be bumped back a few weeks.
"Matt's visit to Fresno State has been changed to Dec. 7 due his team's potential play-off schedule," Jim Rucks, Aker's father, said. "He will also be at the FSU-K-State game on Nov 24.

With offers from Colorado State, San Diego State, Fresno State and Nevada, Akers is one of the top defensive players in Northern California. The 6-foot-3, 240-pounder is also getting some good looks from schools like Ole Miss, Utah, Washington and Washington State.
As a junior, Akers registered 117 total tackles, including 15 sacks. This season, his numbers are still accumulating, though he has recorded 13 sacks through 10 games.
