Playoffs keep Houston WR home

Houston (Texas) Lamar wide receiver Brandon LaFell was supposed to take his first official visit this weekend, but the Texas playoffs prevented it.
“I didn’t go to Utah,” the 6-foot-3, 180-pound LaFell said. “We had a playoff game and I couldn’t go. We lost, so we are done. We played horribly and probably should have won the game.”

The end of the season came and finished off an impressive season for LaFell on both sides of the ball. He finished with 46 catches for 1,015 yards and 16 touchdowns on offense. On defense, LaFell came up with seven interceptions. Four of the interceptions, he returned for touchdowns.
“I haven’t rescheduled the trip yet,” he said. “I will get it back on the calendar, but nothing is ready yet. I’ve already been to Arizona and Missouri. I will go to Nebraska next weekend (Nov. 26). Then I will try and get to Utah, hopefully sometime in December.”
