NOTABLE DROPPER: Princeton Fant, LaVergne, Tenn. (Down 43 spots)

Oklahoma commit Charleston Rambo and fellow Texas native Tyrell Shavers also make big jumps that earn them spots inside the top 20. This ranking now features five five-stars, including No. 3 overall and No. 1 at the position, Trevon Grimes.

NOTABLE RISER: Alex Marshall, Andover (Mass.) Proctor Academy (Up 10 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: None

COMMENTS: A total of seven new names were added to this ranking via positive ratings movement or new evaluations. That grows the list to a top 25. The highest debut is made by Oklahoma City’s Nick Robinson, who starts off as a four-star and ranks just outside the top 10 on this list. Marshall, a new Florida State commit, is now in the top 10 at No. 7, while Florida commit Kemore Gamble moves in from the wide receiver ranking and also cracks the top 10.

Herbert’s big move earns him a spot in the top 10, while the remainder of that group looks very similar to the previous update. NOTABLE RISER: Marquis Hayes, Maryland Heights (Mo.) Pattonville (Up 9 spots)

Detroit’s Jordan Reid makes the highest debut among prospects moving up, checking in at No. 20 on the list.

NOTABLE RISER: None

COMMENTS: Although the position saw several prospects newly rated at the 5.6 level in this update, the only change in the top five was Georgia native Case Cook moving in from offensive tackle and taking over the No. 4 spot in the ranking. That leaves the top three unchanged, with four-stars Cesar Ruiz, Jack Anderson and Wes Harris leading off.

Three new four-stars – Alabama commit Aaron Sterling, Tennessee native LaTrell Bumphus and Georgia native Drew Jordan – move into the top 20.

The rest of the top 10 remains unchanged, but Miami’s Owen Carney makes a jump to four-stars in this update and lands at No. 13. The ranking grows by five to include a top 30. North Carolina native Matthew Butler makes the highest debut at No. 16 after he saw his Rivals Rating increase to 5.7.

2017 OUTSIDE LINEBACKER RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Avery Roberts, Wilmington (Del.) Concord (Up 9 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: De’Andre Wilder, Miami Gardens (Fla.) Carol City (Down 21 spots)

COMMENTS: This is the first position ranking where we see a change at No. 1, and the honor belongs to Texas’ Baron Browning, who earned his fifth star and cracked the top 10 in the Rivals100 in this update. The top five looks completely different after this update, with Georgia commit Jaden Hunter now at No. 3 and California native Addison Gumbs now at No. 4 after they increased their Rivals Rating. Roberts, a Nebraska commit, lands just outside the top five after his big jump.

COMMENTS: Terrell makes a big move for the second update in a row. After his junior season the Atlanta native was No. 29 in this ranking. Now he takes over the No. 1 spot after earning his fifth star and ranking in the national top 10. Former No. 1 Lamont Wade is now No. 2 with fellow five-stars Darnay Holmes and Shaun Wade rounding out the top four. Fresno’s Jaylon Johnson makes the biggest numbers move and lands at No. 6 in the ranking.

NOTABLE RISER: Grant Delpit, Houston (Tex.) Lamar (Up 11 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Brandon McKinney, Orange (Calif.) Lutheran (Down 8 spots)

COMMENTS: Delpit’s rise represents one of the few changes in the top 10. The Houston native rounds out that group, while Tennessee-based prospects JaCoby Stevens and Maleik Gray both move over from the Athlete category to find spots in the top 10. New evaluations see several first-timers enter the ranking, including Texas A&M commit Myles Jones, as the list grows to include a top 50.

NOTABLE RISER: Jaylon Redd, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. (Up 23 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Bruce Judson, Cocoa, Fla. (Down 9 spots)

COMMENTS: The top five at this position looks completely different following the post-spring update. Prospects moving in and out of the position accounts for much of the movement, including at No. 1, where five-star Dylan Moses is back at the top after spending some time at the outside linebacker ranking. He is followed by Brendon White at No. 2 after a big upward move from the Ohio State commit. Redd now checks in at No. 4 after his 23-spot jump.
