Plantation star drawing the eye of colleges

One name college football fans better get used to hearing is that of Plantation, Fla., wide receiver Burnon Anderson. The 6-foot-2, 202 pound speedster showed up in a big way at the NIKE combine at the University of Miami on Saturday.
Anderson ran the 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds, the shuttle in 4.3 seconds and had a 29-inch vertical jump.

"I am getting mail from Rutgers, Michigan, Florida State, Miami, Alabama and Auburn, Anderson said. "I don't have any offers yet, but I'm getting mail from those schools pretty much everyday."
As a junior, he caught 30 passes for 496 yards and seven touchdowns en route to a third team all-Broward County campagin.
"My number one school right now would be Michigan," Anderson said. "Miami would be right behind them and Georgia is definitely in there, too."
He has yet to take the SAT, but will do so for the first time on Saturday.
"I am looking for a school with good academics and somewhere that I can play a major role pretty quickly," Anderson said "Weather and location are nice, but I won't really base my decision on any of that."
