Plano wide receiver has OK State on top

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – One of the top teams in this weekend's Texas State 7 on 7 Tournament was Plano High School and one of the big reasons for its success was wide receiver Kris Lott. Lot made some of the most spectacular catches of any receiver on the entire weekend, showing great hands and body control.
"I've been doing this since my freshman year for Plano and now it feels a lot different playing people my own age and younger," Lott said. "I just know I gotta come out here like no one can stop me and play my game."
Other than 7 on 7, Lott has stayed busy with basketball and has been able to hit up one college camp.
"The summer's been pretty good," he said. "I've just been working out playing basketball and 7-on-7 all summer. I went to the Kansas camp this summer and that was it. I had to miss all the other ones because we went to school longer than normal so I missed all the other ones."
Recruiting is also starting to pick up for Lott, who has five offers and a favorite.
"Recruiting is going pretty well," he said. "It's starting to pick up a little more. Kansas, they got another recruit so they took my offer away but I've still got Oklahoma State and I'm real interested in that one. I just think they're a good program and they're coming up in the Big 12. I've visited there before and I like it."
Along with Oklahoma State, Lott has offers from Tulsa, UTEP, Minnesota and Cincinnati. Though Oklahoma State is currently on top, he has no plans to make a decision in the immediate future.
"I'm probably going to wait until the middle of the season or just after the season," he said. "I just want to worry about my team for now."
