Plano kicker heads West

When they named the new high school in Plano, Plano West, little did the school board members know that many of its top football players would take the West part literally.
That’s because not only did Kyle and Korey Miller commit to UCLA, Plano West kicker Matt Casaday announced on Tuesday night that he’s heading to Utah to play his college football.

“Utah is a great place and a great fit for me,” Casaday, who is 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds, said.
Casday is ranked as the nation’s No. 8 kicker by Rivals.com and he is considered by many kicking experts as one of the best in the nation.
"Matt is the best triple threat out there,” national kicking expert Chris Sailer said. “He can handle the punting, kickoff and field goal chores. He will be recruited for all three.”
