Placekicker makes his decision

Ross Krautman is a place kicker from Franklin Lake, New Jersey. Krautman, 5-8 and 160 pounds, made his decision early this afternoon.
"I just committed to Syracuse earlier today around 1," Krautman said. "My older brother went to Syracuse to kick so I used to go to games up there. It has always been my dream school.
"I just love it there. The academics are great and so is the new coaching staff. It's a good fit for me. The school is so nice."
Krautman committed to Syracuse over Rutgers, Boston College and East Carolina. This past season he was 3 for 6 on field goal attempts and 37 for 37 on PATs.
"My range is 50 yards and I am very accurate in that number. I kicked everything off the ground and not a block. At Rutgers recently I did really well and nailed a 56-yarder there. They almost offered me. But that's ok because I am living my dream."
Ross's older brother (Ricky) kicked at Syracuse from 2003 to 2005 before transferring to William Patterson in New Jersey.
