Pizzotti waiting on UConn, others

Reading, Mass. quarterback Chris Pizzotti is applying for early action at one of the top academic schools in the country. However, he's still waiting to see if UConn and others will come in with an offer first.

"I'm applying for early action at Harvard," said the 6-foot-5, 210-pounder. "But UConn said they are deciding on me and might offer me down the road. I also get a lot of mail from Syracuse, Marshall, Maryland and Michigan State, but I haven't talked to anyone in awhile so I don't think they're interested."

Pizzotti has led his team to a 2-2 record (2-1 in conference) and he's thrown for around 700 yards and five scores. He's also run for two other touchdowns.

"We'll see what happens," he said. "Harvard is a great school and I'd be happy there, but I'm also interested in the others I mentioned."
