Pittman says two-trips will help decision

Chase Pittman usually has a pretty simple answer to things. The reasons why the Shreveport (La.) Evangel star defensive lineman likes his two favorites so much are very simple, too.
"I like LSU cause it is close to home and it is in state, and I like coach Saban a lot," Pittman said.

"Texas is pretty much in state, too. It is just so close, and I have known coach Brown awhile and like him a lot, too."
Coach Saban and Coach Brown are known for their distinctly different styles, and that too has rubbed off on Pittman, a 6-foot-4, 265-pound member of the Rivals100 team.
"Coach Saban is strictly business,” he said. “I mean, I like talking to him, but he is a pretty serious guy. Coach Brown, though, is just real laid back and calm about everything."
He has some other reasons for liking the Longhorns, too.
"Sixth Street in Austin is just a blast," he said. "I also like Texas just because the town is really clean."
Pittman has a plan for making his commitment.
"Texas and LSU are really pretty even right now," he said.
"I am going to officially visit LSU Sept. 1, and Texas the following week. But if I still haven't made up my mind I will take some other visits, and see what is out there."
Pittman said another school that he still might possibly visit would be Oklahoma.
