Pittman looking to take visits

Hampton (Va.) Phoebus running back Tony Pittman claims a half dozen scholarship offers. The 5-foot-11, 200-pounder has visited just one of his offers to date, but the tailback is in the process of trying to get out to a few more.
"I've only been to one college camp this summer, Old Dominion's camp,"

he said. "It was pretty good even though I didn't participate. I met a lot of people."
Old Dominion is one of seven offers joining Cincinnati, Miami, Ole Miss, Northern Illinois, Purdue and Syracuse.
Pittman noted that he plans to get out to the others, many of them for official visits, but has yet to start scheduling dates.
"Miami was like always my dream school," said Pittman. "The rest of the schools, I am looking up and learning more about them, but the only school I've been able to visit is Old Dominion."
Meanwhile, Marshall, West Virginia and Alabama continue to be in touch with the Hampton Roads prospect.
Visits are eventually coming and Pittman went in-depth on what he hopes to see when he finally does hit the road.
"I just want to see a great campus and get to know a great coaching staff," he said. "I want somewhere I can see I fit in and something away from home. Location really doesn't matter."
Practice kicks off on August 6th for Pittman and Phoebus.
"I was hoping to commit before two-a-days, but I am probably going to wait and see if anything else comes along," he said. "On the field, I'm hoping to be a big back rushing for 2,000-yards and put my team on my back to win another state championship."
