Pitt to offer 2010 RB

We're just a month removed from Signing Day and the recruiting battles for the class of 2009 have already heated up. Some schools are even looking ahead to the current sophomore class.
One of the top sophomores in Pennsylvania is running back Corey Brown of Springfield (Penn.) Cardinal O'Hara. He's receiving interest from several schools these days.

Pitt's coaches plan on extending a written offer to Brown on September 1, when he's a junior.
"Yes, two days ago my coach was on the phone with (Pitt's coaches) and he told me they wanted to offer," Brown said. "They've been up to our school to see Tom Savage.
"I've also heard from Rutgers, Michigan, West Virginia ... Tennessee sends a lot of mail and Notre Dame has set me a couple of envelops. Georgia too."
Brown will attend a NIKE Camp at Penn State but does not plan to visit any other schools before the summer.
He said he is unsure about what position most schools will recruit him to play. While he lines up all over the field, he spent a majority of the time at running back and safety.
Last fall Brown rushed for about 1,200 yards and 15 touchdowns.
