Pitt steals RB from NY

The Pitt Panthers marched into New York and pulled out one of the state's best players from under the nose of Big East rival Syracuse. Who is it and how did Pitt do it?
"I spoke to coach Freeman at Pitt yesterday and told him I was coming," said Central Square (N.Y.) Paul V Moore running back Irvan Brown. "I've wanted to play for Pitt for awhile now, but for some reason I hadn't committed yet. Now I'm glad it's over."

Brown, who rushed for 1,597 yards and 19 scores as a junior, chose the Panthers over offers from Syracuse and Wisconsin.
"The situation at Pitt for running backs is better than anywhere else in my opinion and I loved the school and facilities," he said. "Syracuse and Wisconsin are nice schools, but I wanted to be a Panther. They think I can compete for early playing time."
What kind of player is Brown?
"I can run inside or outside and I like to catch the ball out of the backfield," he said. "I'll probably be more of an in-between-the-tackles guy in college, I like to run hard and play physical."
