Pitt lands another commitment

Fresh off landing one fine lineman from the Keystone state in Pittsburgh (Pa.) Keystone Oaks defensive end Myles Caragein, the Pitt Panthers landed another today.
"I committed to Pitt this morning," Erie (Pa.) McDowell offensive lineman Dan Matha said," "I talked to coach (Dave) Wannstedt. He was the first one I called. He was excited."

The 6-foot-7 and 310-pound Matha had scholarship offers from Pitt, West Virginia, Maryland, Michigan State, Temple, and others.
"It came down to Pitt and West Virginia," Matha said. "I weighed the pro's and con's of both.
"Pitt has it all. It's a big city, a big campus, a great coaching staff, great people. I just got that certain feeling about it."
Matha, who plays offensive right tackle, will play the same position for the Panthers. He helped lead his team to a 10-3 record during his junior season.
The Panthers now have eight verbal commitments for their recruiting class of 2007.
