Kettering (Ohio) Archbishop Alter class of 2015 cornerback Nick Coleman got on the board with his first offer this week, and it came from the Pittsburgh Panthers.

"The guy from Pittsburgh came in during school and said he would be back for practice," Coleman reported. "Coach called me over at the beginning of practice and told me that Pittsburgh was offering me. It was a great moment.
"For my first offer, I dreamed it would be good, but this is further than what I thought. As of right now I am happy and blessed that I got that."
The coach was Pitt offensive coordinator Joe Rudolph and Coleman followed up news of the offer by placing a call his way.
"He told me he liked my speed and it looked like I had great hips and I changed direction real well," Coleman said. "He liked my personality and talked a lot about that. He said he liked how I presented myself."
The 6-foot, 170-pound Coleman had been in touch with Rudolph prior to the offer, and made an unofficial visit last fall with teammate Kraig Howe.
"Kraig and I went to the Notre Dame game," Coleman said. "I didn't get to see the campus, but we saw Heinz Field and I thought that was pretty cool. He told me he was going to schedule a time for me and Kraig to come back once basketball season is over."
Pitt is the first to offer Coleman, but several more schools are showing interest and he is eyeing campus visits once his high school basketball schedule allows him to travel.
"I was just talking to Nebraska a few days ago and they want me to come to a practice," Coleman said. "Tennessee wants me to come down. Northwestern was going to have their [junior day] two weeks ago, but everyone got hit with snow and that was cancelled. I think they are going to have theirs in February and I plan to go to that. Hopefully I'll be able to go to Ohio State."
Coleman played both ways for Alter last season, registering 39 tackles and 10 pass break ups on defense while adding 1,100 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on offense.
